For decades, hopeful LGBT actors, writers and stage directors came West to make it big. One of those individuals was openly gay author Felice Picano, who arrived in Hollywood in 1977 to work for Cary Grant’s Brut Productions, and soon became a friend to a host of actors and fellow writers, many of whom were closeted. In this presentation, he shares their anecdotes, vintage photos and excerpts from his own Hollywood novel to show how some found success against the odds and why they became icons of the film world. |
